Licensing

No-nonsense licensing

Our licensing has been thoroughly considered to cover all your brand communications font licensing needs. Having different licenses for print, web, social, etc doesn’t make sense anymore, even the smallest of brands are present across an ever growing myriad of touchpoints these days.

Branding with Type license

 Brandingwithtype
With the exclusive all-in-one license, you will get unlimited usage on your company’s logo, brochures, packaging, signage, website, social, motion, ads, mobile... including sharing the fonts with regular providers at no extra cost.

End Client Size

We have based our pricing based on the principle that the larger the company, the more value they can extract from the fonts.

Forget about users, pageviews, yearly renewals... We’ve removed complexity so you only have to worry about one single metric: the total number of people working in the company. This means all employees including temporary staff, not just the actual people using the fonts.

We acknowledge that sometimes fonts won’t be intended for the whole business but just for a sub-brand from a division or a department. Please get in touch to discuss your case.

Who should own the license?

The owner of the license should always be the end client, which is the entity behind the brand commissioning the work, not the designer or agency creating it. If a designer wants to use our fonts for multiple clients, each of those clients will need their own license.

Licenses can be purchased directly by the end client, or by designers or agencies on their behalf. Designers would only need to own a commercial license when creating work for themselves, like their own studio branding or a personal project.

Try before you buy

We offer free trial/demo font licenses for designers to properly test and evaluate them on their design mockups and use them on presentations when pitching to clients.

We want you to try the full product, that’s why our trial/demo fonts contain the same characters and features as the final font files. We didn’t cripple them.

You just can’t use them for any kind of publicly accessible work, personal or not. For using the fonts in any other context beyond testing and evaluating, you must purchase the all-in-one Branding with Type license.

Please read the full Trial/Demo License

You can download the free trial/demo font files by just clicking on the ⤓ Demo link, next to the buy button on each font dedicated page.

Additional licensing

While our standard Branding with Type license covers for most usage scenarios, there are specific situations where you’d need a license extension. Please contact us if you intend to embed the fonts in Operating Systems or Hardware (EOM), or if you’d like to include our fonts as part of a CMS template, use them for print-on-demand services or create stand alone products with our letterforms.

Technical standards

We serve OTF, TTF, WOFF and WOFF2 formats. Legacy EOT and SVG are available on demand. All our fonts include CFF PostScript hinting instructions for enhanced on-screen rendering. Further manual hinting for specific situations can be done upon request.
