Bespoke typeface

In 2024 we collaborated with TwelfthMan designing a custom typeface for one of the most competitive and oldest football competition in the world.

Named after its founding date (1888), the EFL 1888 bespoke typeface is a modern and versatile family, created for the English Football League. It delivers a strong creative expression without giving up on clarity and legibility, celebrating the EFL’s 136 years of innovation. 

Its contemporary semi-serif style modernises the identity across a wide range of editorial and creative output. The lighter weights from Regular to ExtraBold are pragmatic yet expressive, best suited for body copy and long paragraphs, while the unapologetic Black boasts a range of 5 different widths, ideal for impactful headlines and display purposes.
